Numerous hiking trails will take you from our hotel to the high meadows and peaks of the Valley of Gsies. You will also have the possibility to reach other beautiful places by using your car. The famous Drei Zinnen / Tre Cime ("Three Peaks.") can be reached by different hiking tracks. However, when taking the most-popular trail along the Paternkofel / Monte Paterno from the Auronzo Hut (Rifugio Auronzo, 2,333 meters above sea-level) via the Patern Saddle to the Dreizinnen Hut (Rifugio Locatelli, 2,405 m above sea-level), you may encounter throngs of fellow sportsmen, especially when the weather is fair.

One very appealing alternative is the classic tour from Sexten/Sesto via the Fischlein Valley / Val Fiscalina and the Altensteiner Valley / Val Sasso Vecchio to the Dreizinnen Hut – or also via the Innerfeld Valley / Val Campo di Dentro and the Wildgraben Pass / Passo Grande dei Rondoi or through the Rienz Valley / Valle Rienza. Another popular route is the "Hut Circuit" starting from Sexten/Sesto. You can then visit the Zsigmondy Hut, the Blüllele Pass Hut and the Dreizinnen Hut one after the other.

The Auronzo Hut can be reached via a toll road which allows you easy access from the Misurina Lake (1,756 m above sea-level) to the world of the Sexten Dolomites. During World War I, the Italian-Austrian Front ran near the Drei Zinnen / Tre Cime and the Paternkofel / Monte Paterno. Today, fortifications still testify to this fact.
