Freedom, tranquility & nature – your most beautiful winter in South Tyrol.
Some places talk a lot. This one prefers to listen. Even on the way up here it becomes clear – everyday life is far away. Here at the head of the Val Casies, quietness grows stronger. The genuine becomes tangible. The pace pleasantly slow. Those who travel with open eyes meet curious deer, golden sunrises, and thoughts they’ve never had time for before. Perhaps it’s this mix of panorama, peace and vastness that makes many stay longer than planned …
Nature is at its most beautiful here: unspoilt, pristine and everywhere.
Hiking boots, snowshoes, skis or bike? It doesn’t matter. Whoever wants to head out only needs to open the front door of our panoramic hotel in South Tyrol and getting going.
To the left the Croda Rossa (3,146 m) and the Piccola Croda Rossa (2,859 m), to the right the Croda del Becco (2,810 m) – and between them lie the quiet local peaks of the Val Casies: the Monte Alto (2,593 m), the Monte Spina (2,417 m), the Cima di Colle (2,494 m) and the Passo di Casies (2,205 m). Mountains that sharpen the senses – and open the heart. Each day begins with sweeping views – and ends beneath a sky carrying more stars than you’ve ever seen.
Enchanted paths, far-reaching high-altitude tours, varied biking trails.
Routes winding through blooming meadows. Mountain pastures and huts that seem from another time. More than 50 of them can be found in the Val Casies. Whether summit adventures, a leisurely tour, or a quiet picnic at the edge of the forest – whoever sets out here arrives somewhere deep within themselves.
Crunching snow underfoot, glittering slopes in the morning light, air that tastes of silence. Right opposite the hotel: the small ski lift – family-friendly and never crowded. Just a stone’s throw further on, the cross-country network begins, stretching through the whole Val Casies. Kilometre after kilometre in your own rhythm. Afterwards: daydreaming in panorama sauna and tea by the fire – the next winter’s day already awaits.
When the last snow melts or the leaves turn, the valley shows its gentle side. Those who wish can go hiking. And those who have nothing planned simply let themselves drift: with the light, the wind, the art of gentle idleness.
